Welcome to the
Scottsville Center for Arts and Nature

We have had a tremendous summer with the production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by our young thespians. Both Lisa Bittner and Lisa Schneider did an outstanding job in directing and orchestrating this production. It is to the actors credit that they sold out the second show.

There has been a lot of hammering and sawing in the theatre these past few months as Langden Mason has single-handedly remodeled the space. Gone are the cumbersome risers--in is a fantastic stage for future productions and performances. Langden is presenting his "On the Air" production of events from the 1954 Scottsville Sun newspaper. The show will run for two weekends--Saturday and Sunday the last weekend in November and Friday, Saturday and Sunday the first weekend in December. Watch for details on tickets.

Melissa Anderson's Zumba class ushered in the the expanded dance studio complete with mirrors. We cannot thank those who participated in her classes and we hope to see you when she continues in the middle of September.

Please check our calendar for upcoming classes. Teachers include Saci Sullivan for Ballet, Lori Madden for Irish Step Dance, Lou Ann Volpendesta for Drama, Mary Hardy for Music and Movement Explorations, Nancy Gill for a variety of photographic workshops, Doug Bush for guitar--and we are still lining up other instructors for workshops.

Stay tuned for more information....
